Job Description

Collections at a debt collection agency in Pretoria West is about firm, fair conversations and steady numbers. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Location: Pretoria West, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
Hand accounts over for legal action once internal steps are exhausted.
Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.
Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.
Negotiate payment arrangements and set up DebiCheck mandates.

What you need

Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
You keep your tone respectful even when the debtor is not
Good with numbers, dates and payment calculations
Matric

What you get

Uncapped monthly commission on collected rands
Council for Debt Collectors registration paid for you
Monthly incentives for the top three collectors
