Job Description

Keep cold rooms cold and offices cool for the air-conditioning maintenance company in Upington. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The work is in Upington, Northern Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

The work, day to day

Service cold rooms, display fridges and freezers on planned maintenance routes
Clean coils, replace filters and check drain lines on scheduled services
Complete service reports on a tablet and have the site manager sign them
Install split units, cassettes and ducted systems, including brazing and vacuum work
Recover refrigerant into cylinders and log every kilogram used
Commission new systems and show the client how to use the controls

What you need

At least 2 years servicing commercial or residential systems
Code 08 driver's licence, since the job is mostly on the road
Brazing, flaring and vacuum skills you can demonstrate
Understanding of single- and three-phase control circuits
