Reliability Engineer (Rotating Equipment)

You'll keep the plant reliable and improve how it runs at the petrochemical plant in Kimberley. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll be based at a petrochemical plant in Kimberley. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Plan and track preventive maintenance in the CMMS with the artisans and planners
• Analyse breakdowns with root cause methods and fix the cause, not the symptom
• Prepare the maintenance budget and report monthly on spend
• Check pressure vessels for compliance with the Pressure Equipment Regulations and SANS 347
• Write scopes of work and compare contractor quotes

• Working knowledge of the OHS Act and General Machinery Regulations
• Code 08 licence for site visits
• BEng or BSc Eng in Mechanical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist roles
• Confident with 3D CAD software and engineering calculations
• Three or more years working as a qualified engineer, in industry or consulting

• ECSA registration fees and CPD paid
• Study support for postgraduate courses
• Company laptop and CAD licences
