Reservations Agent (Hotel Group) – Immediate Start

Running the front desk of a travel agency in Isando means calm service and a clean shift balance. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Isando-based, with most of your time spent at a travel agency. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Run the night audit, close the day and print the flash report.
• Handle complaints at the desk and log them for the duty manager.
• Manage OTA bookings coming in from online travel channels.
• Answer booking emails and calls, and quote rates from the rate sheet.
• Store guest details securely in line with POPIA.
• Allocate rooms and pass early check-ins to housekeeping.

• Clear spoken and written English
• Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm
• A hospitality or tourism diploma, or 1 year at a hotel front desk
• Honest with cash and card payments
• Confident on a computer and quick to learn a property system

• Revenue or yield management exposure
• Amadeus or Galileo training for travel roles
• Opera PMS or Protel certificate

• Discounted stays across the group
• Service charge share at some properties
• Night-shift allowance

• Name the property systems you have used (Opera, Protel, a GDS) in the first lines of your CV.
• If you speak a foreign language, state your level honestly; many interviews switch languages mid-chat.
