Job Description

Every room at this self-catering resort in Kempton Park should feel brand new, and you'll make that happen. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Kempton Park (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.

You'll need

Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
Weekend and public holiday work
You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day

Nice if you have

Basic first aid certificate
Chemical handling training
Laundry machine and steam press experience
