Retirement Annuity Sales Consultant – Experienced

You'll sell cover that families really use, from a medical gap cover broker in Somerset West. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is in Somerset West (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Capture new policies on the admin system and check debit order details.
• Read the FAIS disclosures and record client consent on every call.
• Call warm leads from the dialler and qualify them in the first minute.
• Save policies when clients call to cancel.
• Do a needs analysis and match the client to the right product.

• RE5 passed, or willing to write it within the first year
• Six months or more of sales, telesales or call centre work
• FAIS fit and proper: clean credit and criminal record
• You are comfortable earning a large part of your pay in commission
• Honest selling, even when the easy sale is the wrong one

• A qualification such as a Higher Certificate in Financial Planning
• Completed class of business training for short-term or long-term insurance
• An existing client book (for field roles)

• Monthly sales competitions with cash prizes
• Medical aid and group life cover once permanent
• Basic salary plus uncapped commission
• RE5 exam fees and study material paid

• Read up on the product line (funeral, short-term or life) so you can talk about it in the interview.
• If you have passed RE5, say so in your headline; it is the first filter in most financial sales ads.
