Returns & Exchanges Desk Clerk (Retail)

Customers bring their problems to your counter at an insurance branch in Kempton Park, and leave with answers. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The work is in Kempton Park, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Update customer details and file signed forms for audit.
• Take payments, balance your till and bank cash at close.
• Process returns, exchanges and credit notes under the Consumer Protection Act.
• Call customers when repairs or orders are ready to collect.
• Upsell contract upgrades, accessories or cover when it fits the customer.
• Greet customers, find out what they need and manage the queue ticket system.
• Book repairs and warranty claims and give customers a reference number.

• Retail hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and month-end
• Retail or customer service experience of at least a year
• Matric (Grade 12) certificate
• Accurate with cash and paperwork
• Good on a computer and point-of-sale system
• You can stay polite with a long queue watching

• Medical scheme or insurance product knowledge
• A Customer Service NQF certificate

• Fixed roster published two weeks ahead
• Product training and certifications paid for
• Staff discount on products
