Job Description

Planned maintenance, breakdowns and shutdowns: steady artisan work at the coal mine engineering workshop near Fourways. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a coal mine engineering workshop on the Fourways side of Gauteng.

What you'll actually do

Complete job cards and work orders in SAP after each task
Order spares and track them through the engineering store
Maintain pumps, fans and compressors in shafts and on surface
Take part in weekend shutdowns for major overhauls
Carry out planned maintenance on loaders, drill rigs and utility vehicles

Must-haves

Certificate of fitness for underground or surface work
At least 2 years as a qualified artisan, preferably on a mine
Willing to do standby and call-outs on a roster
Trade test certificate in your trade (diesel mechanic, fitter, electrician, boilermaker, instrumentation or rigger)

Nice if you have

Experience with collision avoidance systems on TMM
SAP PM module experience
Flameproof equipment training for coal mines
