Safety Representative Coordinator (Road Works)

The building contractor in Atlantis needs a safety officer who is on the site, not stuck in the container office. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Atlantis, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements
• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
• Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent

• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• You write clear reports in English
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight

• Fall protection planner training
• Diploma in Safety Management
• ISO 45001 internal auditor course

• Laptop and data for reporting
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Travel and site allowances
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD

• Put your SACPCMP registration number and category first. Many CVs without it are rejected without being read.
