Job Description

This courier and freight company in Cape Town CBD wants someone who can open doors and keep accounts for years. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll be based at a courier and freight company in Cape Town CBD. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

The work, day to day

Negotiate contract terms, rentals and service-level agreements.
Work with operations to hand over new clients smoothly.
Respond to RFQs and tenders with complete supplier packs, including B-BBEE certificates.
Chase overdue accounts with the credit department before they grow.
Attend trade shows and industry breakfasts to meet buyers.

What you need

Matric plus a sales, marketing or technical qualification
Confident with Excel, Outlook and a CRM
You close deals, not just collect meetings
Solid presentation and negotiation skills
Valid driver's licence and your own reliable car
2 or more years of business-to-business sales with a proven record

Nice if you have

Tender and CSD registration experience
An existing network of buyers in your sector
