Security Area Manager (Night Rounds)

You'll run a shift of officers at a residential estate in Benoni, keeping posts covered and standards high. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is in Benoni (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows

• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters

• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Provident fund and funeral cover
• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Cellphone allowance

• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
