Security Dispatcher (Armed Response)

You'll watch the screens and radios at an armed response control room in Rustenburg, and send help the moment something is wrong. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Location: Rustenburg, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
• Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
• Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
• Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
• Pull and save video footage for incident investigations

• PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
• Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
• Matric
• Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures

• Training on the monitoring software
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment
• Shift allowance for nights

• Mention any software you have used: alarm monitoring, CCTV or even call centre systems. Control rooms need people who learn screens fast.
• Show you can stay alert at night. If you have done night shift before without problems, say so.
