Job Description

A security company in Kariega wants a firm, fair supervisor for its hospital complex. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Kariega-based, with most of your time spent at a hospital complex. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

The work, day to day

Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
Meet the client weekly on security concerns
Do surprise night visits to check posts
Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
Investigate incidents and write reports for the client

You'll need

Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
Available after hours for emergencies
Matric, with a security management course a plus
PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)

Extra points for

Mining or hospital security experience
Own reliable vehicle
Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app
