Job Description

Step up from guarding into supervising on a guarding contract across several sites in Kathu. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a guarding contract across several sites on the Kathu side of Northern Cape. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What you'll actually do

Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records

You'll need

Firm with staff but fair and consistent
Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
Available after hours for emergencies
