Security Site Supervisor (Grade B)

Officers look to you on every shift at a guarding contract across several sites in Umhlanga. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The site is in Umhlanga; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries

• Available after hours for emergencies
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor

• Mining or hospital security experience
• Own reliable vehicle
• Labour relations or basic supervision course

• Cellphone allowance
• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Provident fund and funeral cover

• If you have been upgraded through the grades, show the progression. It proves you grew on the job.
• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
