Job Description

Here your code runs in production, not in a drawer: an e-commerce platform in Centurion. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is Centurion-based, with most of your time spent at an e-commerce platform. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What your day looks like

Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Pair with junior developers to unblock them
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments

Must-haves

You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Experience writing automated tests
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build

Helpful, not essential

Public GitHub portfolio or published app
Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Docker and Kubernetes experience
