Senior Quantity Surveyor (Civil Projects)

The shopfitting company in Pinetown needs a QS who can price a tender and still defend a final account. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a shopfitting company on the Pinetown side of KwaZulu-Natal.

• Use measuring software to do take-offs from PDF and CAD drawings
• Prepare the final account at the end of the project
• Value variations and prepare claims under JBCC or GCC conditions
• Take off quantities from drawings to build a bill of quantities
• Price tenders using supplier quotes, labour rates and plant costs

• Accurate with numbers and able to back up every figure you certify
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
• BSc, BTech or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• At least 3 years of QS work in private practice or with a contractor

• SACQSP registration as a Professional or Candidate QS
• Experience with civil bills using the SANS 1200 standard
• Estimating software experience on top of Excel

• Paid SACQSP registration fees and CPD courses
• Travel allowance for site visits
• Hybrid days in the office and on site
