Service Desk Consultant (Furniture Store) – Permanent

You'll help walk-in customers at a furniture retail branch in Centurion, face to face, all day. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Centurion. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Call customers when repairs or orders are ready to collect.
• Greet customers, find out what they need and manage the queue ticket system.
• Process returns, exchanges and credit notes under the Consumer Protection Act.
• Take payments, balance your till and bank cash at close.
• Log complaints and pass them to the store or branch manager.

• Presentable and approachable with all kinds of customers
• You can stay polite with a long queue watching
• Good on a computer and point-of-sale system
• Retail or customer service experience of at least a year

• Fixed roster published two weeks ahead

• Dress as if you already work the counter when you drop off a CV or go for the interview.
