Service Technician (Fast-Fit Centre) – Permanent

This used car dealership workshop in Fourways needs a qualified mechanic who can handle services, repairs and electrical faults. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll be based at an used car dealership workshop in Fourways. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Carry out roadworthy pre-checks on lights, brakes and steering
• Carry out scheduled services to the manufacturer's checklist and interval
• Quote extra work you find and pass it to the service advisor for approval
• Road test vehicles before and after repairs
• Keep your bay, tools and special service tools clean and counted
• Coach the apprentice on your bay through basic services

• At least 3 years as a qualified mechanic in a dealership or workshop
• Confident with diagnostic scan tools and wiring diagrams
• Your own basic toolbox
• Neat with customer vehicles: seat covers, floor mats and no grease marks

• Brand-specific training certificates from a manufacturer academy
• Air-conditioning regas experience with SAQCC Gas registration
• High-voltage hybrid or EV safety training

• Manufacturer training courses paid by the dealer
• Pay at or above the motor industry bargaining council rates
• Productivity bonus on sold hours above target

• Attach manufacturer training certificates. They can move you up a technician grade and pay band.
