Job Description

Shoppers in Cape Town CBD judge a township shopping centre store by its shelves, and that is where you come in. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll report in Cape Town CBD. Relocation is not covered for this one.

The work, day to day

  • Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
  • Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
  • Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
  • Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
  • Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
  • Clean spills fast and put up wet-floor signs
  • Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)

You'll need

  • Grade 10 or matric
  • Neat appearance and punctual
  • Polite with customers and happy to help
  • Basic reading and maths for price checks
  • Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
  • Able to stand and lift cases all shift

Nice if you have

  • Own transport for route merchandising jobs
  • Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
  • Some till or cash-handling experience
