Shelf Packer (Supermarket, Weekend Shift)

You'll keep the shelves full and tidy at a neighbourhood supermarket in Epping, so shoppers find what they came for. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at a neighbourhood supermarket in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Collect trolleys from the parking lot
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables

• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Grade 10 or matric
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Polite with customers and happy to help

• Some till or cash-handling experience
• Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
• Being 18 or older for liquor store roles

• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
• Paid training in store procedures
• Chance to move into till or department roles
• Staff discount on groceries

• Stores fill weekend and night-fill slots first, so write "available weekends and nights" in your CV summary line.
• If you have ever sold anything, even at a school tuck shop or a family stall, list it. It shows you are comfortable with customers.
