Shift Supervisor (Guarding Contract) – Immediate Start

You'll run a shift of officers at a hospital complex in Durban Central, keeping posts covered and standards high. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a hospital complex in Durban Central. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows

• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• Available after hours for emergencies

• Labour relations or basic supervision course
• Own reliable vehicle
• Mining or hospital security experience

• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Cellphone allowance
• Management training for growth to operations manager
