Shift Supervisor (Guarding Contract)

You'll run a shift of officers at a hospital complex in Somerset West, keeping posts covered and standards high. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The work is in Somerset West, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client

• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Available after hours for emergencies
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Matric, with a security management course a plus

• Labour relations or basic supervision course
• Own reliable vehicle

• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Cellphone allowance
• Management training for growth to operations manager
