Site Safety Officer (Civil Projects)

Every person goes home in one piece. That is the job on this renewable energy construction site in Kempton Park. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Kempton Park. Relocation is not covered for this one. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time
• Audit subcontractor safety files before they start work

• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• You write clear reports in English
• First Aid Level 1 at least
• Good understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations 2014

• Experience on renewable energy or high-rise projects
• Fall protection planner training

• Travel and site allowances
• Laptop and data for reporting
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role

• Name the kind of projects you have covered, like roads, housing or wind farms. Clients want sector experience.
