Site Safety Officer (Civil Projects)

You'll keep the site legal and the workers safe for the renewable energy construction site in Mamelodi. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll be based at a renewable energy construction site in Mamelodi. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Audit subcontractor safety files before they start work
• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
• Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment
• Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time

• Good understanding of the OHS Act and Construction Regulations 2014
• You write clear reports in English
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• First Aid Level 1 at least

• Laptop and data for reporting
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Travel and site allowances

• Name the kind of projects you have covered, like roads, housing or wind farms. Clients want sector experience.
• Put your SACPCMP registration number and category first. Many CVs without it are rejected without being read.
