Site Security Officer (Construction Yard) – Fixed-Term

You'll control who comes in and out of an office tower in Rosslyn, and log every visitor properly. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is in Rosslyn (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty

• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clean criminal record
• Speaks and writes basic English

• Firefighting or evacuation training
• First-aid Level 1 certificate
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers

• Provident fund contributions
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules

• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
