Stock Packer (Distribution Centre)

You'll keep a busy building-supplies depot in Springs stocked, picked and moving out on time. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a building-supplies depot in Springs. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns

• South African ID or a valid work permit
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
