Stock Packer (Distribution Centre) – Immediate Start

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a building-supplies depot in Stellenbosch, and nobody minds if it's your first job. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The site is in Stellenbosch; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season

• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
