Stock Packer (Distribution Centre)

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a frozen-food distribution centre in Umlazi, and nobody minds if it's your first job. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a frozen-food distribution centre in Umlazi. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor

• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
