Job Description

Got an eye for a smooth finish? The fleet repair centre in Cape Town CBD wants your skills in the booth or on the jig. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll report in Cape Town CBD. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Repair dents with hammers, dollies and a stud welder
Strip damaged panels, bumpers and trims and bag the fixings
Pull and straighten chassis damage on a measuring jig
Spray base coat and 2K clear coat in the booth
Mask up vehicles properly to keep overspray off glass and trim
Apply filler, sand and prime to a smooth, ready surface

You'll need

Knowledge of spray booth safety and respirator use
A portfolio or references from previous body shops
Panel beating or spray painting trade test, or at least 4 years of proven work
Good colour vision and a steady hand

Extra points for

ADAS camera and sensor recalibration after repairs
Measuring jig and electronic measuring experience
