Tactical Response Officer (Night Shift)

You'll answer alarms across a business park in Bellville in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is in Bellville (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
• Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests

• At least 2 years in guarding or response
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
• Calm under pressure and physically fit
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases

• SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
• Advanced driving course

• Response vehicle and firearm provided
• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Group life cover through the provident fund

• Mention the areas you know well. Companies prefer officers who can find addresses fast without a GPS.
• Bring the originals of your certificates to the interview. Armed companies verify them before a shooting test.
