Job Description

Returns, assessments and objections all land on your desk at a fiduciary and trust company in Pretoria West. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Pretoria West-based, with most of your time spent at a fiduciary and trust company. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What your day looks like

Check SARS assessments and flag errors to clients
Respond to SARS verification letters and upload documents on time
Prepare VAT201 returns and review input tax claims
Advise on deductions such as retirement contributions and home office claims
Prepare and submit ITR12, ITR14 and ITR12T returns on SARS eFiling

Must-haves

Degree or diploma in accounting or tax
Registered tax practitioner with a recognised controlling body such as SAIT or SAIPA
Neat, careful and organised with client documents
Comfortable handling tax season overtime
Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act
Clear writing for SARS letters and objections
