Territory Sales Representative (Hardware Stores)

Out on the road for a snack and confectionery wholesaler in Tembisa, your car is your office and the store floor is your pitch. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a snack and confectionery wholesaler in Tembisa. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
• Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.
• Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.
• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
• Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.

• You can work to daily and monthly volume targets
• A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver's licence, for rep roles
• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
• Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting

• Existing relationships with independent retailers
• Speaking two or more local languages
• A sales or marketing certificate

• Product samples and staff pricing
• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts
• Branded uniform and safety boots
• Company vehicle or car allowance plus petrol card

• Bring numbers: cases sold per month, new outlets opened or growth percentages on your route.
• Name the areas you know and the store types you have serviced (supermarket chains, independents, spazas) in your CV summary.
