Tracking Control Room Agent (Vehicle Recovery)

Sharp eyes and a calm voice are the tools of the trade at a remote video monitoring centre in Ermelo. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll report in Ermelo. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
• Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
• Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams
• Log every event and action on the monitoring software

• Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
• Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
• PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
• Computer literate and quick on a keyboard

• Path to senior controller or supervisor
• Training on the monitoring software
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment

• Some companies give a typing and map test. Practise finding streets on a map quickly before the interview.
• Mention any software you have used: alarm monitoring, CCTV or even call centre systems. Control rooms need people who learn screens fast.
