Job Description

You'll drive tractors and farm machines on a maize and soya farm near Mahikeng through planting and harvest. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Mahikeng-based, with most of your time spent at a maize and soya farm.

What your day looks like

Operate combine harvesters during harvest season
Wash equipment after spraying and store chemicals safely
Haul cane, grain or fruit bins from field to shed
Record hours, fuel and fields worked on the job card
Plant rows straight, using GPS guidance where the tractor has it

Must-haves

Safe driver who respects chemical and machine safety
Reliable and sober on duty
Can read job cards and spray instructions
Basic understanding of implements and settings
Available to live on or near the farm
Willing to work long hours in planting and harvest seasons

Nice if you have

Code 8 or Code 10 licence for road trips
Combine harvester experience
Basic mechanical skills
