Trainee Accountant (SAICA Training Contract)

You'll own the monthly numbers for a logistics company in Potchefstroom, from journals to the management pack. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll be based at a logistics company in Potchefstroom. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items

• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
