Job Description

Get off the road and into the control office at a road freight company in Burgersfort. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll report in Burgersfort. Relocation is not covered for this one. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

What your day looks like

Update customers on delivery times and delays
Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries

Must-haves

Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Matric
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Good with Excel and email

Extra points for

Previous truck driving experience
Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
Logistics or supply chain certificate
