Job Description

Get off the road and into the control office at a bus and coach operator in Cape Town CBD. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Cape Town CBD, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

The work, day to day

Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
Update customers on delivery times and delays

Must-haves

Good with Excel and email
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
