Job Description

Behind every truck on the road is a controller; at a distribution depot in Krugersdorp, that could be you. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a distribution depot on the Krugersdorp side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What your day looks like

Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system

Must-haves

Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
Matric
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations

Extra points for

Transport management system (TMS) experience
Knowledge of cross-border documentation
