Trolley and Parcel Assistant

Night fill, weekends or month-end rush, a hardware and building store in Welkom needs extra hands. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Welkom (Free State). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
• Collect trolleys from the parking lot
• Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables

• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Grade 10 or matric
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Neat appearance and punctual

• Some till or cash-handling experience
• Own transport for route merchandising jobs
• Previous shelf packing or merchandising work

• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
• Paid training in store procedures
• Chance to move into till or department roles
• Staff discount on groceries
