Job Description

Delivery days start early in Benoni, and a container unpacking yard needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The work is in Benoni, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit

Must-haves

Friendly with customers at the door
Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts

Nice if you have

Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
Past work as a driver's assistant
Basic furniture assembly skills

What's in it for you

Help to get your own licence through the company later
Route-completion incentives in busy months
Meal allowance on long-route days

How to apply

Read the "What you need" list above. If you tick most of it, go ahead and apply.
Keep copies of these ready to send: police clearance if you already have one, CV noting any loading, moving or delivery work plus clear copy of your ID with a certification stamp.
Use the form on this page. It takes about two minutes and you don't need to upload anything yet.
If you're shortlisted you'll hear from us within 5 working days, usually by phone.

Your application joins the How2Apply talent pool for this role, and we put shortlisted people forward to employers hiring in and around Benoni.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

Before you hit apply

Keep your CV to one page with your phone number big and clear. Depot managers phone, they seldom email.
If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
