Truck Loader (Night Shift)

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a furniture retailer warehouse in Bethlehem wants. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The site is in Bethlehem; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading

• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• No criminal record
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
