Truck Loader (Night Shift) – Fixed-Term

Delivery days start early in Polokwane, and a parcel sorting hub needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a parcel sorting hub on the Polokwane side of Limpopo. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count

• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• No criminal record
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note

• Past work as a driver's assistant
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Basic furniture assembly skills

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Help to get your own licence through the company later

• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
