Job Description

Housekeeping keeps a conference hotel in Sandton running quietly in the background. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a conference hotel on the Sandton side of Gauteng. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What your day looks like

Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.

What you need

You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
Weekend and public holiday work
Grade 10 or higher
Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow

Helpful, not essential

Chemical handling training
Basic first aid certificate
A supervisor course or time spent running a floor
