Job Description

You'll catch shoplifting and stock losses at a fashion retail store in White River before they cost jobs. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is White River-based, with most of your time spent at a fashion retail store.

What you'll actually do

Tag high-value stock and check security tags at the doors
Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft

Must-haves

Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
Able to handle confrontation calmly
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
Discreet, observant and honest
Good report writing

Extra points for

Experience giving evidence in court
Retail loss prevention course
Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
