Van Sales Rep (Snacks & Confectionery)

Out on the road for a hardware and paint supplier in Gqeberha, your car is your office and the store floor is your pitch. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

The work is in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.
• Log kilometres and fuel slips for the monthly claim.
• Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.

• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
• Matric

• Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position
• A sales or marketing certificate
• Existing relationships with independent retailers

• Branded uniform and safety boots
• Product samples and staff pricing
• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts
