Van Sales Rep (Snacks & Confectionery)

This hardware and paint supplier needs a rep in Pretoria East who knows the shops, the owners and the numbers. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Pretoria East-based, with most of your time spent at a hardware and paint supplier. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.
• Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.
• Log kilometres and fuel slips for the monthly claim.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.

• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• Matric
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• You can work to daily and monthly volume targets
• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves

• Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position
• A sales or marketing certificate
• Speaking two or more local languages

• Cellphone and data allowance
• Company vehicle or car allowance plus petrol card
• Product samples and staff pricing
