Waiter / Waitress (Evening Shift)

You'll look after tables at a family steakhouse in Somerset West, from the first greeting to the final bill. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a family steakhouse on the Somerset West side of Western Cape.

• Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.

• Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience

• A barista course certificate or latte-art skills
• Responsible Service of Alcohol training

• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
• Staff meal on every shift
• Uniform supplied and laundered
