Warehouse General Hand (Day Shift)

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a frozen-food distribution centre in Kimberley, and nobody minds if it's your first job. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a frozen-food distribution centre on the Kimberley side of Northern Cape. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking

• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift

• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
