Warehouse General Hand (Day Shift)

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a pharmaceutical warehouse in Mokopane. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The site is in Mokopane; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off

• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
